One of the biggest road blocks that stands in the way of moms taking care of themselves is guilt.

Moms are taught to put everyone (and everything else) before themselves, so the idea of self-care all of a sudden becomes a very selfish thought. But we all know that after checking everything off the to-do list, little time remains to take care of any personal issues, let alone personal growth activities.

Time has shown that kids watch what we do far more than they listen to what we say. So if we as moms aren’t taking care of ourselves, we’re actually teaching our kids that self-care and self-improvement isn’t important. How can we truly teach them to care for themselves if we aren’t first caring for ourselves?

Start today by setting aside time to actually do what is important to you, not just talk about what is important. The result will benefit both you and your children.
